Donating to TSATF

The Tri-State AIDS Task Force is a non-profit organization which receives some federal and state funding, but these funds are always less that the perfect amount to help us meet the growing needs of persons affected by AIDS/HIV.

Corporate Donations

Consider the beneficial impact your company or organization can make on the lives of persons living with AIDS. No amount is too small to give. The cost of health care for a single patient with AIDS is more than a years income for most people; most people with AIDS do get some assistance from the government, but that assistance does not cover the cost of transportation to and from a doctor's office, special dietary needs, and many other aspects of daily life.

Most of the people living with AIDS in our community are unable to work or unable to find work due to community misapprehension of the disease. These people are human beings with families, and the burden of their needs falls on these families. Imagine yourself in a similar situation dealing with the costs of a critically ill loved one. It should be easy to image the worries of struggling to make ends meet. Picture the same situation with help coming from the community. The absence of financial worries would make dealing with the stress of the health crisis much less harrowing.

Donations of goods are equally beneficial. Clothing, food, transportation, and utilities are basic human needs that often are set lower on the priority of the welfare system as medical costs never decrease. For as little as $100.00 a month your company can help a family dealing with AIDS to make ends meet.

We urge you to consider the Tri-State AIDS Task Force as one of your company's charities. You can give a family a little breathing room that makes a life dealing with death less horrifying.

Private Donations

Families coping with the certain death of a critically ill loved one -- that is what we are dealing with. Whereas it is certain no amount of money in the world will make up for the loss of a loved one, a few dollars can make the difference between never-ending stress and the ability to spend as much time as possible with a loved one before the certain death. Whether they are parents or children of a person with AIDS, they are all affected.

Your small donation can make the difference while they live in a state of constant worry and hurt. Whether you donate time, money, goods, or food, you are maker the lives of some in our community a little less painful.

We urge you to donate as generously as you can afford to the cause of Life -- surely the best charitable cause in the world.
